tutorial: hand towel.

last week, i bought this colorful bath towels at the market with a good price @ Rp 12.500. I’ve been looking for the right color to replace the old hand towel in the kitchen…

so this is the deal, you will need :

A regular size towel, velcro, scissors, the old hand towel handle, threat/yarn, and a sewing machine

1. cut the towel in half, like this.. (please don’t look at the ugly old blue hand towel) 

2. sew along the yellow side with a zigzag, so the yarn won’t fall apart when you wash it (yes, my little star is helping me out with this  )

3. when all sewn up nice and tidy, get your velcro. cut around 7 cm long (or whatever the size that suit your towel)

4. get your old hand towel handle

5.fold your towel in half, from the folded line go down around 7 cm / depend on how big your hand towel handle is, arrange the velcro on the inside of the towel and then pin.

6. sew zig zag all around

7. put the new towel and the handle together, and they are ready to go 

I bought two bath towels, and turn them into four hand towels. hope it explain the different color of towel in these pictures
