Make your own blue jean purse
- A small layout of all the pieces to make your own jean purse (Front, Back and inside lining.)
- Cut out 8-8 ½ in squares. Cut out the squares that have the pockets on them first! Arrange them the way you want and sew together as shown in box #Z (After sewn together they should be 16 in squares.)
- Cut out the pieces for the top of the purse. Fold over edges and sew were the orange is shown in box 3 and sew the pieces together for the top of the purse (also shown in box 3)
- Sew the top piece to the
top of the 16”in square and do the same for the back of the purse. (as shown in box 4) - Put the front and back jean pieces faced together and sew together. (As shown in box 5). Also sew the handle (shown in orange)
- Lay out the fabric of your own choice and using the jean pieces as a guide to cut out the lining for the inside of your purse ( as shown in box 6) Then fold the edges and sew were shown in orange. Put the pieces together face to face and sew together. (shown in green)
- Flip the jean purse right side out and leave lining inside out, drop the lining down inside the purse. Matching the corners then sew as shown in orange.
- Once the corners have been sewn, line up the handles and sew to secure the lining to the jean purse (as shown in box 8).
